Satoshi was appointed President of JACOS in June 2017 after holding the position of Executive Vice President which he began in July 2013. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is a member of the Board of Directors of CANOS, the Japanese subsidiary of JAPEX in Tokyo which holds 100% of the shares of JACOS. Prior to joining JACOS, Satoshi served as General Manager of Canada Oil Sands Project Department and Executive Secretary Department of JAPEX successively. He was also involved in North America and Central Asia projects of JAPEX and served as Treasurer of JAPEX (U.S.) Corp. in Houston. Satoshi started his career in human resources and developed his general administration and project coordination background thereafter.
Satoshi has a Bachelor of Economics degree from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
Brian was appointed Executive Vice President of JACOS in March 2011. He joined JACOS in November 2001 as Manager, Operations and Development, and has held successively more responsible positions leading to his current role. Prior to joining JACOS, he held positions in corporate planning, operations, joint ventures and projects with Imperial Oil. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with 20 years focused on development of the Athabasca oil sands. He has extensive SAGD experience, starting with service on both the Management and Technical Committees of the AOSTRA Underground Test Facility (UTF).
Brian is a professional engineer in the province of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, and an MBA from Queen’s University.
Gerard was appointed Sr. Vice President of JACOS, responsible for Marketing, Supply Chain Management, IT and Corporate Services in May 2017. He joined JACOS in January 2004 as Manager, Marketing and has held successively more responsible positions leading to his current role. Gerard has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, the majority of which is in Marketing. Prior to joining JACOS in 2004, Gerard was the Director Marketing & West Development for Mirant Canada Energy Marketing Ltd., a major US gas and power merchant marketer. Previously he headed up the crude oil, natural gas liquids and sulphur marketing group for Numac Energy, and worked for Élan Energy and Amoco Canada Petroleum Company in the crude oil and NGL supply and trading marketing group.
Gerard has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Bill joined JACOS in September 2013 as Vice President, Human Resources. He has over 30 years of experience, the majority of which has been assisting organizations in the Canadian oil and gas industry with the development and implementation of people strategies in support of key business imperatives. His background and experience encompasses all facets of strategic human resource management as well as leading other corporate services functions including information technology, health, safety and environment, insurance and general administrative services. Most recently he held the position of VP of Human Resources with Husky Energy in Calgary.
Bill has a Bachelor's degree in Math and Economics from Trent University and a Master's degree in Economics from Queen's University.
Bob was appointed Director Hangingstone Expansion Project in September 2012. Bob has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and extensive project execution expertise in SAGD and Mega-Projects. Before joining JACOS, Bob was the Director In-Situ Well Pad Program for Suncor Energy and accountable for all well pad major projects in the Firebag and MacKay River developments. He was also involved in several other Suncor SAGD projects including the Firebag Cogen and Expansion Project, and Firebag 2, 3 and 4 Projects. Prior to joining Suncor, Bob worked for SNC-Lavalin and worked on the Suncor Millennium and Syncrude UE-1 projects. His background also includes practical experience in plant maintenance and sustainable projects in various facilities.
Bob is a professional engineer in the province of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Bob was appointed Director Operations of JACOS in April 2015. He joined JACOS in May 2000 as an Operations Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Operations Engineering Manager in 2008. Prior to joining JACOS, he worked as a Field Engineer at CANMET working on R&D projects with various oil sands producers. He has 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with the majority focused on SAGD Operations with JACOS.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Enzo was appointed Director, HSE and Regulatory Compliance in April 2015. Enzo joined JACOS in May 1997 and has held various roles in production engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs. He assumed the role of Manager, Corporate HSE in 2012. Prior to joining JACOS, he held positions at Alberta Oil Sands Technology and Research Authority (AOSTRA) working on the Underground Test Facility and with Betz Water Management, specializing in process water treatment.
Enzo is a professional engineer in the province of Alberta and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Leigh was appointed Director Geosciences of JACOS in September 2015. He joined JACOS in July 2001 as a Geologist and was promoted to Manager, Geology and Geophysics in 2007. Prior to joining JACOS Leigh worked as a Project Geologist for Oil Sands Geological Associates Limited providing geoscience support for various clients. He has 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with the majority focused on the Athabasca Oil Sands.
Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Calgary.
Brad was appointed Director, Finance & Controller in May 2017. Brad joined JACOS in April 2008 and most recently held the position of Corporate Controller . Prior to joining JACOS, Brad started his career at ConocoPhillips and held various finance positions as part of its graduate management rotational program. He has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Brad is a Professional Chartered Accountant in the province of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Management degree in Finance from the University of Lethbridge, and an MBA from Queen’s university.
Jaron was appointed Director, Marketing and Business Development in May 2017. Jaron joined JACOS in May 2004 as part of the Accounting team and transitioned to Marketing shortly thereafter. In 2013 he was promoted to Marketing Manager. Jaron has over 13 years of industry experience, most related to oil and gas marketing and logistics.
Jaron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Michigan Technological University.
Mano Dehghani was appointed Director, Field Operations in April of 2015. He joined JACOS in October 1998 to oversee the start-up and entire operations for the Hangingstone Demo Project. In 2003 he was promoted to the position of Demo Field Manager. Mano has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry all focused on the successful use of SAGD technology. Prior to joining JACOS, Mano was a part of the Encana Demonstration Project where the commercial viability of SAGD was tested. Previously he worked at AOSTRA where he participated in Field Operations for the development and implementation of SAGD technology. Mano began his career with Gulf Canada Resources.
